In the Titan Game of the Day, Titans u17Boys (minus Leaving cert students)travelled to Limerick with 3 u17 and 3 u16 regulars bolstered by 3 u15’s.However The Titans met a full Celtics side, brim with talent,speed and Strong Athletes.

The game was neck and neck with Titans pressing for most of it and playing Man for the entirity.Limerick played a hardworking match-up zone, boxed well and drove strong to the basket.

So close was this encounter, that the lead changed 26 times and their was only a point between them at the end of each quarter, with normal time ending 50-50 with a nice lay up from Aidan Boyd.

The first period of extra time saw oisin, Ronan, Dale and Johnathan driving at the zone,dishing and pitching under pressure, getting nailed and hitting their free throws from the physical Limerick side.This first period finished 71-71 and the epic continued into a second overtime period…The crowd were both animated and rivetted..nobody was leaving!Creaven, and the Pesaitis brothers finally dominated the boards, Mc Keown,Oisin and Aidan Boyd hit some quality shots and the Titans finally won out 83-73 winners.
