Joyce, Mackie and Lougheed Titans Galway, the only locally based side still in the competition take on Blue Demons (the 2013 National Div 1 Mens Champions) this Friday night Dec 6th at 8pm in Cappagh Park, Knocknacarra. The Galway City side had defeated Maree away from home in the earlier rounds 70-60 and Blue Demons had beaten their local rivals Fr.Matthews in similar fashion 77-63.

Neither team have put in consistent back to back performances in the national league to date this season, with Titans in 3rd position and Demons in 6th, yet both teams are capable of shooting out the lights and putting on a show on any given weekend!

Recently,The Titans have had big performances from shooting guards Chris Mcinarney, Kevin Horton and Chris Coyne, with the twin slashers of Toms Fabricious and Emmet capable of opening up any defense and Gintaris and Mitkus pulling down Boards on both ends of the floor. However, the experience of Glenn Hynes and Paulius Pelzius will be vital in setting the pace of the game and settling the ship after last weekends Castleisland game.

Meanwhile, in the other quarter final Team Garveys Castleisland take on the Shield favourites, Killester ( who took  out Swords Thunder in an earlier round); Kilkenny play Dublin Eanna and UCD Marian play Portlaoise Panthers in the final game of the round.
