Joyce Mackie Lougheed Titans Kick off their National League campaign 2014-2015  V Moycullen on next Saturday Oct 4th at the Kingfisher NUIG.

In what can only be described as a mouthwatering prospect, the opener promises to be a Thriller. Moycullen, who have been performing at the Highest Competitive level for these past few seasons in the Super and Premier League have chosen for practical purposes to compete in The National League Division one this year, and in doing so, are creating a wonderful opportunity for local lovers of the game. to catch an Amazing “6 Local Derbies” between Narional Cup Holders Titans; National League Champions Maree and former Superleague side Moycullen.

The first of these is taking place this Saturday at 5pm at the Kingfisher, and is of further interest to followers of the Club, as last years Titan Coach Paul Freeman and Chris McInarney are togging out for Moycullen. Meanwhile, the newlook Titans welcome Their New Director of Coaching from Barcelona Coach Jordi Juste; and fellow Catalan Gerardo; Croatian Giant Danilio Vukovic; Estonian Rando Koslov and American NCAA player and Victory Scholar out of Atlanta Georgia Darryl Durham. Locals will be glad to know , that many of our Familiar faces and Stars of The National Cup winning Team are returning to compete for honours once again this season with the Galway City Team. In particular, the Basketball intelligence and guile of players like Glenn Hynes and Derek Mulveen; the experience of Journeyman player, Wayne Redmond, the scoring power of Paulius Pelzius and Tomz Fabritius; the Boardsmanship of Ginteras and Sergi and the All round Game of the Exciting Talent which is Tomas Mitkus, 2014 Young Player of the Year. These stalwarts will be joined by some of the Clubs emerging talent, who only last weekend defeated Maree in the u18’s in Cork. Young men such as Oisin Carey; Eoin Coughlan; Kyle Walshe; Bruce Silva; Darragh Clifford and the prospective Star quality of  Jonathan Pesaitis, are all Chomping at the bit to display their skills on the National Stage.Meanwhile returning Coach Nick Carolan will simultaneously support these players and Head Coach Jordi Juste in the necessary Norming, Storming and Forming necessary to build…yet another successful Titans National League Team for the Highly competitive 2014-2015 Season ahead.
