Summer basketball and big prizes are on the horizon with the announcement of a Men’s 3×3 Satellite Tour for 2015.

Belfast got the tour up and running in June but there are still big events to take place in July and August, offering players from all basketball backgrounds a chance to qualify for the grand final and go further afield to 3×3 events across Europe and the World.

Teams can register and play in as many of the regional events as they like. The top two from each event as well as two wildcard entries and give them a chance to take home the €1000 cash prize from the Grand Final.

Regional Event winners will take home €200 per team while the overall winners will also be flown out to a FIBA Euro Tour event. That brings with it the carrot of a 5000 dollar prize and a spot on the FIBA World Tour. Each Satellite Tour event is limited to just 16 teams, so early sign up is advised.

Also up for grabs are ranking points that will go towards selection for next year’s European Championships selection. Under FIBA’s qualification criteria, any player wishing to be selected will need to take part in at least one 3×3 FIBA endorsed event this summer. All of the 3×3 tour events in Ireland are FIBA endorsed events.
