Setanta Sports to Film Titans v Ulster Elks in the Mens Basketball National Cup saturday night Nov 10th, at Renmore

Former Superleague side Ulster Elks come to Galway Saturday night to take on The ever improving Galway Titans.Setanta Sport as part of their recent committment to publicise the game of Basketball nationally and with the insight of local talent Cian Nihill, have identified this game as being the match-up of the weekend! Ulster are coming off the back of a big win in overtime on sunday last against St.Marys Castleisland.Ulster are coached by former Titans Coach Pat O’Neill and in their 3pt overtime win v Castleisland were led in the scoring front by M. McDonald 20; C. Johnson 18 and G. Celms 18).The biggest concern for Coach O’Neil coming to Galway is likely to be the team’s current lack of post-play and committed rebounders. Conor “CJ” Johnson, a small-forward, is having to carry the load in the paint while the Elks wait on the arrival of big-man, Matt Graves, who is sidelined due to 90-day residency rule.Meanwhile, the Titans who are also awaiting the clearance of Andre Tongo have beaten Kilkenny who defeated the ulster Elks on the road..so on the day,it will come down to “who wants it the most”!?!The Titans are training hard and are very competitive in every aspect of the game. They will need big boards from Mustaffa ,Ginteras and defensive stalwarth Glen Hynes. On court chef d’affaires Connal Mc Michael, who is presently studying/ training in Belfast and knows this team well.Paulius Pelzius will be expected to deliver points at the end of his consistant, hard working performances.Lautauro, Garrity and Barile will threaten from outside and at the end of the night the Titans will be hoping for a big win against the Belfast side!See You all saturday night..bring your Blue&white,Maroon and a good pair of Lungs!Go Titans!
