Tonights encounter was a Must win affair for the Maree side in Oranmore. With the Titans already having advanced to the Semi Finals stages by Winning the Southern Conference in style,Mare still had a hope of advancing to the playoff stages with a win over the city side and hoping that Castleisland would lose to Templeogue. However the Titans who were never at any stage behind in the scoring throughout the game, ran all of their squad,rested their high scoring Paulius Pelzius and still won the game by 7 points.

They had respectfully declined Basketball Irelands offer to present the Conference Trophy at the Maree game out of respect for their neighbours and look forward to meeting the Winner of next weeks Castleisland v Templeogue match in the Semi finals at Home in two weeks time!
