Titans,without their regular point guard Rory o’Neill who was out through injury,played a top class All Ireland winning team from Maree today at the Westside and left nothing of themselves in the dressing room!Instead they came out all guns blazing against a top class team.Eoin Coughlan had to ballhandle,and such was his prowess that he had to be guarded by both eoin Rockall AND Riann ,and he still lit up the scoreboard for a 11points in the opening quarthid the same for the second period and Evidas emerged as an emerging talent under the boards after Kenneth was taken out by a deliberate elbow early on.The Titans played above themselves and even in the third quarter there was only 5 points between them until Maree threw on a formidable press that brought the game as a contest to an end.Eoin Rockall was in flying form and with the manner in which they punished any Titan turnovers,showed why they are the standard bearers at this age.The Titans can however take consolation that they are a new team and ran their offence well and defended strong early on, with jake and Brian Garvey hitting some amazing assists into the bargain.Well done lads!
