Last night at st.Marys, Titans played a strong Moycullen team, and did so with verve and dignity. For much of the opening quarter the Titans led, from big outside threes from Eoin Coughlan. At the end of the first quarter the Titans were down 13-12 and well and truly in the game. The neutral refereeing made for a very open yet physical encounter. However ,in the second quarter, the Titans Bigman clocked up three fouls and with him sitting out the Moycullen side exploited some of the gaps through the strength of former Titan Big Joe Tummon.
Kyle Cunningham and Josh were always a threat and in truth, while Oisin Carey, Eoin and Sean Kelly curtailed their much of their efforts, Kyle was the difference between them.
The second quarter saw Oisin hit some fine shots and Bruce finish some good pressbreaking to the hole, and Titans went in at the half five behind.
David Dylan and David Naughton turned in some fine defensive efforts and Kenneth Pesaitis scooped up the rebounds in his brothers absence while Eoin and Oisin continued to threaten the offensive baskets.
In the fourth, when Johnathan was reintroduced The Titans made a surge but could never get beyond the nine point differential.Titans 39-Moycullen 54 (Johnathan 18,Eoin Coughlan 12;Oisin 4;Kenneth 3;Bruce1.
