U16 Boys do well at Limerick Celtics Tournament

Pior to losing out to a wonderful Moycullen side in the Semi finals of the tournament, the understrength Titans u16 boys, who were without their big guns(kelly, pesaitis and carey on u18cup duty)made quite an impression at the Celtics tornament. The opening game was a thriller against Blue Demons, with Kenneth, David N and Darragh Clifford owning the defensive boards, while Big Bruce Silva was dominant at the offensive end!Coming down the stretch, eoin Coughlan hit the outside shots,Jake Tiernan doule figured in assists and Rory ran the plays. It was a baptism of skill n speed for Colie and Chris who gave it everything on behalf of their club, but know theres work to be done in pressure situations..New boy Cillian, seemed to settle well and Kyle worked tirelessly. It ended in a two point victory fot the Titans.

In game two, against Killester the Titans played their hearts out and kept it close but their passion was sometimes mistaken for indiscipline and the resultant shots from Technical fouls led to a two point loss in the final minute.

However, Coach Pesaitas got them back on track against the home side Limerick Celtics and the lads won with a last second shot to claim their second victory of the day.

It is our hope that the boys will have gained from this experience and will stay together to compete locally and nationally on behalf of the Titans in this coming season!Go Titans!
